WESTSHORE TRANSFER STATION
Westshore Transfer Station is a processing and sorting facility that was designed to accept material from local refuse & recycling contractors (garbage companies) within Western Michigan.
However today this facility is open to the public and acts as a remote landfill style operation where materials can be brought in and recycled or sent on to local landfills. In addition to accepting what most would consider normal materials, Westshore Transfer Station also houses the following material processing capabilities

- DEQ Certified compost facility - Accepts yard waste, dirt and other organic materials.
- Concrete Recycling - Capable of recycling concrete block, asphalt and other stone construction materials.
- Metal Recycling - Recycling all metal products
- Plastic Recycling - Plastic #1, #2, #5, #6 - and other plastic materials like clear stretch film
- Glass Recycling - Westshore Transfer is one of the Midwest’s leaders in industrial glass recycling.
- Wood Recycling - From industrial waste wood to demolition, we recycle wood and wood fiber type products into energy sources.
